Hyundai Motor America Is Ready To Donate Over 2,000 Turkeys In The Orange County, CA Area

Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching. Now is the time to not only prepare our own delicious Thanksgiving feasts, but to also help those that aren't as fortunate. Zafar Brooks, Hyundai's Director of Corporate Social Responsibility said, "Hyundai Motor America is committed to giving back to the community and helping its neighbors during times of need." He also continues, "This recent donation of 2,000 fresh frozen turkeys is a practical way to assist families in time for the Thanksgiving holiday."

To help out with this effort, Hyundai is also hosting its annual food drive for its employees and encourages the public to donate their own can goods and non-perishable items at one of their five locations in Fountain Valley.

Although the Fountain Valley locations are about half an hour away from Downey, we still encourage you to donate what you can. The five locations are:

  • The Fountain Valley Senior Center, 17967 Bushard St.
  • Fountain Valley Recreation Center, 16500 Brookhurst St.
  • Fountain Valley City Hall Builiding, 10200 Slater Ave.
  • The Fountain Valley Bowl, 17110 Brookhurst St.
  • Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce, 10055 Slater Ave #250

All of these donations will be brought to the Share Our Selves non-profit organization, after a Canstruction project, which provides over 60,000 meals a year to those in Orange County, and, if you would like, you can donate your can goods directly to the Share Our Shelves program.

If you have any questions, or would like to know more about the CANstruction competition, Share Our Selves, or Fountain Valley donations, don't hesitate to contact us, here at Downey Hyundai, or stop by our dealership to discuss it in person. We are extremely thankful for friends, family, and customers, and would like to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving.
